Boundary of Memory - The Givers Collection

This is the first one of the collection that I am swatching.  It's 1 of the 2 glitters that are found in the collection and it is meant to be worn on its own.
It's does go on quite thick, and of course, 2 coats are needed.  I used 2 coats of Seche Vite on top and you can't feel any of the texture.

I'm not really a fan of glitter polish, but I honestly really like this one!!

Flip Flop Fantasy vs. Peachy Keen

I have recently been asked to do a comparison swatch between Flip Flop Fantasy (Poolside Collection) and Peachy Keen (Up & Away Collection).   I have tried to use various lighting to give the best possible effects.

I am wearing Peachy Keen right now and I find that it is a great colour to wear to bring out our tan.

I don't find that the colours are that similar and both would be a great addition to your collection.

The Giver Collection

So the collection came out earlier than expected.  In the United States, of course.  I went over today and picked up all 12 bottles and I had the best experience returning into Canada.

I was in the Nexus line declaring how much I spent with the border guard and he asked me what I spent it on and I, of course, said nailpolish.  He did a triple take and then asked to see every bottle.  I showed him, of course.

He asked me why I bought so many bottles and I told him that I was a Blogger. He thought that the GPS stand on my dash was a camera and he was going to give his thoughts and opinions on every colour for everyone to see.

So even though I have not swatched the colours  yet I had to share my experience with our awesome Canadian border guards.

Summer goldfish nails

Goldfish Nails are great design to try for the summertime!! I can tell you for sure that my son loves them  :)

First, get out the colours you need.

Those colours are my suggestions as they are vibrant.

Next, you will need to do your base coat.  Hanging In The Balance is my first choice, however, Splish Splash is a close second.

After your base coats (I did 2 coats, as always) are dry, get out your dotting tools.  You will need your largest one, second smallest, and smallest.

Close to your tips and to towards the outside, you will want to start by placing a large dot of the colour you want to start with.  Then, take the smaller dot tool and bring the dot outwards to make your fins.  Alternate colour on the next finger.

When you are done creating your fish, you'll want to leave time for them to dry (of course) before you finish them.
In the meantime, you can make their air bubbles.  Use the smaller dotting tool and just have fun with the white polish.

Hopefully, after the air bubbles are done, your fish will be dry.  If they are, you can make their eyes.  Use the smaller dotting tool with your white polish again and make your eyes.

When the whites are dry, use your smallest dotting tool and make the blacks of the eyes.

As always, don'y forget to top coat your new artwork.

Enjoy!!

First comparison swatch

Please remember that I am always open to requests for specific colours.  I will always do my best to accommodate, as I have over 60 bottles of China Glaze.

My first comparison swatch is going to be between Red-Y & Wiling 81359 (Autumn Nights Collection) and Cowgirl Up 80880 (Rodeo Diva Collection).  They both look the same in the bottle, but, as you can see, look very different on the nails.
